Sam Stein – Crew Lead
What do you enjoy about your job?
I started at Buresh at the end of April this year. I started off as a Crew Member/Builder and am now a Crew Lead! My favorite project thus far is one we just completed in Grinnell. It had an existing roof over the deck and it was a lot of fun removing the deck while also supporting the roof. It was great to see how happy the homeowners were with the finished product. What I love most about my job is being able to work outside with my hands. I love being able to transform people’s homes for them.
What’s your favorite food?
My favorite food is by far pizza, I eat it far too much.
Where’s your hometown?
I am from Iowa City. I was a Regal in high school, and an Eagle and Panther in college!
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I would love to go see Ireland at some point in my life.
How would you describe yourself?
I would describe myself as a very outgoing person in the right crowd. Anyone who knows me well would tell you that I cannot sit still.
What do you do in your free time?
In my free time I love going to country concerts with my girlfriend, spending time with friends and family, and building things in my garage.
What’s a fun fact about you?
A fun fact about me is that I love being up in the air climbing something tall and balancing up high!
Giving Back
Since 2017, a yearly 24-hour Marriage Getaway for first responder and military couples from counties all over Iowa has been held to equip, coach, and encourage them in their marriages. In addition to honoring these heroic couples, the getaway includes marriage coaching by the Rosbergs, an over-night stay, comedic entertainment, outstanding meals, resources to strengthen their marriages, and gifts from community sponsors. Iowa corporations, families, citizens and churches financially provide to show our appreciation and offer the support these brave men and women deserve. To date, 1,509 heroic Iowans, from counties all over Iowa, have been served through Impact Iowa’s Heroes.
Their mission is to honor and strengthen Iowa’s first responder and military marriages by providing relevant coaching, encouraging the development of community with one another, and rallying the support of the citizens of Iowa.

Stock up on ice melt or sand for your driveways and walkways, ensuring you can safely navigate icy surfaces. Additionally, trim any overhanging branches from trees that could snap under the weight of snow or ice, preventing potential damage to your home.
Finally, ensure your holiday lights are safe and energy-efficient. Before hanging them, inspect your lights for frayed wires or broken bulbs. Only use lights rated for outdoor use, and make sure they are securely fastened. For added convenience and safety, use timers to automatically turn off your lights, saving energy and reducing the risk of overheating. These simple steps will help you enjoy a safe, warm, and festive winter season!
