Differences beween Timbertech Decking vs. Trex Decking
Choosing the right composite decking can make all the difference between a beautiful, long-lasting outdoor space and one that needs to be replaced in a few years. The major distinguishing factor between Trex and Timbertech decking is that Timbertech has a PVC cap completely covering the wood fibers, making them more resistant to the elements, whereas Trex only partially wraps theirs, leaving some of the material uncovered. Exposed wood can retain moisture – eventually leading to rot and compromised structural integrity. Furthermore, the cap material of Trex includes wood fibers, which is not the case with Timbertech.
