Employee Spotlight
Conner Arndt – Sales Assistant
What do you enjoy about your job?
I started with Buresh 7 months ago as a Sales Assistant. I enjoy the relationships that I’ve formed with all of my coworkers/customers in such a short time. I’ve never had a day where I didn’t want to come into the office knowing that I’m surrounded by like minded people and ultimately genuine people I enjoy being around on a daily basis!
My favorite project I’ve seen done here has to be a current project one of our crews is working on in Panora, it is a beautiful deck with a louvered roof and all sorts of cool additions. This was one we got to do a rendering for the customer beforehand, and now getting to see it come to life is awesome.
What’s your favorite food?
A good lobster roll has to be my go-to dish.
Where’s your hometown?
I grew up and went to high school in Waukee, IA, home of the Warriors and attended Iowa Western Community College. Go Reivers!
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
My dream trip is Iceland!
How would you describe yourself?
I’m very high energy and love to laugh and create smiles and laughter for others!
What do you do in your free time?
My hobbies consist of weightlifting and hiking. I love going on road trips and currently have a goal to travel somewhere at least once every other month.
Giving Back
Buresh Home Solutions is hitting it OUTTA THE PARK with this new charity idea! We are donating $10 for every walk/base on balls at Principal Park this season!! We’ve chosen a different charity each month throughout the season to receive the proceeds!
Last month, there were 69 walks which means we will be donating $690 to Children’s Cancer Connection!
Special thanks to our friends at Principal Park and Iowa Cubs for making this happen!
Homeowner Tip!
Outdoor Firepit Maintenance
Outdoor firepits are a wonderful addition to any backyard or outdoor living space, but they do require regular maintenance to ensure they remain safe and functional. Here are some maintenance tips to help you keep your outdoor firepit in good condition:
- Regular Cleaning: Remove ashes and debris from the fire pit after each use. Allow the ashes to cool completely before disposing of them in a non-combustible container.
- Scrub the Bowl: If your fire pit has a metal or ceramic bowl, clean it periodically with a stiff brush or a mixture of warm water and mild detergent to remove soot and residue.
- Inspect for Damage: Regularly inspect your fire pit for signs of wear, rust, or damage. If you notice any issues, address them promptly to prevent further deterioration.
- Protect from the Elements: Consider covering your fire pit when it’s not in use to protect it from rain, snow, and other elements. There are specially designed fire pit covers available for this purpose.
